“I am excited to announce my support for Delegate Ayala’s candidacy for Lieutenant Governor,” said Supervisor Nelson. “Delegate Ayala has shown time and time again that she is a leader who puts people first and listens to the needs of all communities, especially those who have been underrepresented and underserved. She will be a voice for the voiceless in our Commonwealth. I hope you will join me in supporting Delegate Ayala for Lieutenant Governor.”

“Hala was my seat-mate during our first term after the 2017 election and has been a steadfast friend and remarkable leader,” said Delegate Adams. “We have amazing talent and amazing people running for statewide office but I believe Hala is the only candidate who can unite our party and win in November. I know she will continue to work hard building a better Virginia as our Lieutenant Governor.

“Today Virginia officially became the first state in the South to legalize marijuana. Yet again, our Commonwealth is leading the way to break down the legacy of Jim Crow and systematic racism. I am the mother to 2 Black children, and my greatest fear is that when they drive to work or walk around the block that they will not return home. Yesterday we were once again reminded of this painful reality with the verdict in the murder of George Floyd. We have a great deal of work to do to heal generations of trauma and begin to create an equitable justice system.

“I am excited to announce my support for Delegate Ayala in her candidacy for Lieutenant Governor,” said Delegate Alfonso Lopez. “I have worked side by side with Hala for the last four years, including two as Chief Deputy Whip, and I have been impressed with her leadership and ability to build bridges both within our own party and across the aisle.”

"I am endorsing Delegate Hala Ayala for Lieutenant Governor," said Delegate Kathleen Murphy."As a Delegate, Hala has been a powerful voice for the issues we care about. She has been an effective leader in the House of Delegates and I believe she has the skills to be a strong Lt. Governor. She will get the job done right."

“I am impressed with Hala's willingness to listen and learn and to work hard on behalf of the entire Commonwealth,” Said Mr. Milliken. “In her time in the General Assembly she has shown herself to be a real leader and I am proud to endorse her for Lieutenant Governor.”
